Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a type of lymphoma named after Thomas Hodgkin, who first described abnormalities in the lymph system.
Hodgkin’s disease is characterized by the orderly spread of disease from one lymph node disease to another. The disease is characterized by the presence of Reed-Strenberg (RS cells) under microscopic examinations.
The disease is more prevalent in young adults (age 15-35) and those over 55. The survival rate is over 90% when the disease is detected during the early stages, making it one of the most curable firms of cancer.
